Ready To Rock Reviews is the personal music review blog of Chronicle Live sports writer Craig Johns. A journalist with a passion for music, in particular all sub-genres of rock, this is my labour of love outside of work to just write whatever I please on the music and gigs that I love.
I’m not one for pictures of myself and in particular the picture below is far from flattering. That’s me – fat, sweaty and captured during those euphoric moments of reflection after a great gig (Bullet For My Valentine at Middlesbrough Empire on that occasion). While it may not be the most flattering picture ever taken of myself, what it does is capture exactly what this blog is about: My passion for music.
I hope that my passion comes across in the words that I write here and I hope you enjoy reading my thoughts on gigs I’ve been to.
Based in the North East of England, the majority of gig reviews will be from shows here, but when possible I will provide reviews for any I’ve travelled further afield for.
